“Hello” from the IUJ Counseling room              Door is always open to you

ABOUT THE COUNSELOR

Dear IUJ community

We are very happy to introduce to you a new member of our community, Mr. Kiyoshi Sekihara. Please call him SEKI.

Before coming to IUJ, Counselor SEKI worked in public educational institutions in Japan as a psychologist. Prior to studying to become a psychologist, he studied Economics and then worked abroad for over 10 years. He also has a license in social work which means that he will be able to support you with different types of public services (in particular, medical and social services). He’ll be able to assist you when you need such services or just require information about these services.

If you have not seen him yet, or even if you have never been to the counseling office, please feel free to stop by to say “Hello!” to Counselor SEKI.

Counselor SEKI

Hello! It’s SEKI and I am the new IUJ counselor who will be working with you and your family members.

Please come and visit the counseling room to talk about things that impact your learning at IUJ, such as culture shock, study skills, and self-esteem. In the counseling room, you can feel free to talk to me about what worries you and ask me any kind of questions.

I would like to be a resource for you throughout the school year. My goal is to help you to be successful both academically and socially through scheduled one-on-one counseling opportunities.
