IUJ is participationg in the Study-in-Japan Fair in Tokyo

Living in Japan right now, and looking to further your education? The Japan Student Services Organization is holding a Study-in-Japan Fair in Tokyo on Sunday, July 8th from 10am until 4pm, to give prospective students insight into what the schools have to offer. This Fair is applicable to those interested in applying to Japanese Universities for the 2019 academic year or in the near future. IUJ will hold its 2018 Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, June 23 at Koidego Cultural Hall in Uonuma city on the following schedule. GSIR-IUJ and the College of Social Sciences, National Chengchi University (CSS-NCCU), Taiwan concluded a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding

On 5th June 2018, the Graduate School of International Relations, International University of Japan (GSIR-IUJ) and the College of Social Sciences, National Chengchi University (CSS-NCCU), Taiwan concluded a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding including exchanges of students/faculty/researchers, joint research, etc., and also signed a document that provides the details for initiating the exchange of students, faculty and researchers. Expanding the agreement on the exchange of students/faculty, which had been concluded between GSIR-IUJ and the Department of Economics in CSS-NCCU in January 2017, throughout the College of Social Sciences will facilitate a broader academic exchange between GSIR-IUJ and CSS-NCCU. IUJ holds the Information Session in Tokyo on October 5

Living in Japan right now, and looking to further your education? The International University of Japan is holding an information session in Tokyo on Friday, October 5th from 7pm until 9pm, to give prospective students insight into what the school has to offer. IUJ was established in 1982 as the first English-language graduate school in Japan. ADB President Nakao speaks at IUJ

Mr. Takehiko Nakao, President, Asian Development Bank, delivered a speech on the prospects of Asian economies and the roles and functions of ADB on 24 May 2018 at MLIC Hall, IUJ campus. The seminar was attended by about 80 participants from IUJ’s community including students and faculty members. After the seminar, President Nakao had a pleasant talk over lunch with our ADB scholars at the Research Institute. 3rd IMC Networking Event was held

On May 13th, we were fortunate to have 2002 MBA Alumni Ken Takai return to IUJ and present a session on professional career development. Ken works in the Tokyo office of recruitment firm DHR International, and is a seasoned professional of the headhunting world. With years of experience, he is well aware of what organizations are looking for in potential candidates. The atmosphere at the session was lighthearted and casual, but full of useful information about what to expect from Japan’s job market. A very successful TEDxIUJ Event was held and the video is now available!

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. This year the student councils of both the Graduate School of International Management and Graduate School of International Relations have collaborated to organize the first TEDx event in IUJ, an independently organized event. In accordance with the TED spirit of “ideas worth sharing”, TEDxIUJ was held at IUJ for the first time on 22nd of April, 2018. The theme of the first TEDxIUJ “Where the World Gathers” was chosen as a tribute to the slogan of IUJ and also, to commemorate the unique global environment of IUJ. […]

The International Onigiri Competition was held at the International Festival

The 2018 IUJ Open Day was held on May 12th, with a fantastic lineup of entertainment and international cuisine that showcased the spirit of the university. One of the most unique events on the Open Day agenda was an Onigiri Competition, where teams of students put their home country’s flair and flavors into one of Japan’s staple foods. Teams were hard at work on the morning of competition day, preparing and perfecting their creations – and with good reason!
