IUJ International Students Experienced Rice-Harvesting

On September 18th, 2018, IUJ’s 9 international students participated in rice-harvesting at Niigata Prefectural Kokusai Joho High School (KJ).

KJ is the only one high school in Niigata prefecture designated as Super Global High School (SGH). SGH is one of the national undertakings by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to attempt developing global leaders who can work internationally in the near future. This rice-harvesting aimed learning rice farming which is the basic industry in Uonuma area.

The 9 international students are from Nepal, Myanmar, Mongol, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Mauritania. Some students are familiar with rice-harvesting, others experienced it for the first time in this event. Communicating with high school students also gave them new discoveries and made it a memorable experience here in Uonuma.

IUJ and KJ continue working together on developing globalized human resources.

=== IUJ: Where the World Gathers! ===

Living in Thailand right now, and looking to further your education in Japan? The International University of Japan is participating in an International Education Expo in Bangkok, Thailand on 10th and 11th November to give prospective students insight into what the school has to offer.

IUJ was established in 1982 as the first English-language graduate school in Japan. Currently, 360 students from 60 countries undertake studies at the university, with over 4,300 additional alumni hailing from a total of 128 countries. It truly lives up to being the university Where the World Gathers.

IUJ is a school that is continually growing – not just by the number of countries that students hail from, but in its international standing. The Graduate School of International Management proudly obtained accreditation from AACSB International in February this year, and the University’s PhD program was inaugurated in 2015 with the number of doctoral candidates increasing annually.

At the IUJ booth at this Study-in-Japan Fair in Bangkok,  those interested in applying to IUJ for the 2019 academic year or in the near future will be given the opportunity to find out more about what the university has to offer, as well as the chance to meet faculty and alumni for first hand accounts of their experiences with the school.

We would like to introduce our alumni who hail from Thailand.

We greatly appreciate if you would fill the following IUJ Application Form in advance.
