2023 Admissions – Additional Round for Graduate School of International Management Programs

The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) has decided to provide one more opportunity for residents of countries other than Japan to join the programs in Fall 2023 following the schedule below.

Application Deadline: April 25, 2023
Announcement of Results: May 26, 2023

If you do not have TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC* score and/or GMAT/GRE score, please take the test(s) as soon as possible to meet the deadline.
*Please check the Guidelines for the English Test Exemption Policies.

 

For your information, the Online GMAT/GRE and TOEFL are also available if you cannot do to the test center due to Covid-19.

IUJ students won prizes in the 2022 FALIA Essay Competition

Four IUJ students won prizes including 1st place, 3rd place and effort awards in FALIA’s Annual Essay Competition. FALIA (The Foundation for the Advancement of Life & Insurance Around the world) was established in 1962, and the foundation is supported by the Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Company, one of Japan’s longest-standing insurance providers.

FALIA’s essay competition has been running since 2014, and allows international undergraduate or graduate students in Japan the opportunity to submit a piece on any topic pertaining to life insurance. Essays can be submitted to the competition in either English or Japanese.

Winning IUJ students and their essay themes:

1st Place: Fritzie Rodriguez, International Relations Program
“Life Insurance, Same-Sex Couples, & Gender Equality: Lessons from the Philippines”

3rd Place: Gay Margarett Gange, International Development Program
“Insurance Expenditure During COVID-19 Pandemic: The Case of Filipino Households”

Effort award: Gangaram Bhattarai, International Development Program
“Relationship between Insurance and grouth: Evidence from Nepal”

Effort award: Karma Thinley Wangchug, International Development Program
“Educational attainment and the demand for life insurance: a case of Bhutan”

Puntsag Davgadorj, our MBA class of 2019 and a current student at the Tokyo University also won an effort prize.

The awarding ceremony was held on January 20th, and students were pictured – Fritzie is 5th  from the right, Gay is the 4th from the right, Gangaram is 2nd from the right, Karma is the 3rd from the left and Puntsag is the 2nd from the right.
