Cancellation of the 2020 International Festival

We are sorry to inform you that the International University of Japan (IUJ) has decided to cancel the International Festival 2020 as a precaution in the current COVID-19 situation.

The International Festival, held jointly with Minami-Uonuma City in May every year, features performances and international cuisine proudly presented by IUJ students from over 50 countries. It attracts thousands of visitors from the region, including our alumni who return to campus in a type of homecoming from both within Japan, and from all over the world. We feel very sorry for everyone who was looking forward to it, but we have decided not to hold it this year.

At this time, there are no reported cases of COVID-19 infection so far at IUJ or in our immediate area, and we will continue to work to protect the campus from infectious diseases. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We hope to see you all in 2021!
